When the weather gets warmer and the school year is coming to an end it seems that all you want to do is roll your windows down and cruise jam out to your favorite country songs. With the cool breeze as you’re driving down a backroad and hanging out with your friends, waiting anxiously for summer, nothing could be better than a song that you can sing to. It’s reached that time of year, when all you can think about is leaving the stuffy school where you spend the majority of your waking hours and break free of your responsibilities into the summer sunlight. You want to spend time with your friends, try something new, go somewhere you’ve never been before, and reinvent the same old places in your mind to become something new and extraordinary. Amidst all the stress of finals (or prepping for college/workforce if you’re a senior) you can’t help but feel wistful for the good old days when every day was a holiday and you could do whatever you wanted whenever you wanted to do it. And soon, within the next upcoming months, you will get to experience that freedom again (to some extent, at least). You are ready for summer (heck, aren’t we all?), and you just need to find some way to express that feeling of waiting for a summer that is almost here when there are no words to describe it. This playlist is for all those country fans who are ready for the summer days of feeling free of stress and just singing as loud as you can.
